Normally there is the mauve, purple, pinkish colored mountain against the blue skies and/or even on a cloudy day you see the cloud formations against the mountains and the skies are beautiful in rain or shine. This photo was taken from a cell on a gloomy day so the colors don't show up too well. However, normally you'll see desert sands, the rocks are pinkish bluish color and you see green bushes and cactus here and there. It's the serenity that makes it beautiful and the quietness. At night time you can only see dark skies with a bright moon and twinkling stars. It's a dreamers, writers, photographers, and artists paradise. Palm Springs is the place where Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bob Hope and many visited or lived.
